This is our computer learning
center. This eight computer network and the projector are used to
teach our employees basic computer skills such as Microsoft Windows,
Word and Excel and others as well as our Visual
Manufacturing software.
Classes are held three days a week. All employees are eligible
for this training whether it is directly related to their jobs or
not.
Here, an instructor
from Blinn College uses our Haas Lathe Control Simulator
to set up a lesson for some of our operators. All of our machinists
have access to this training to sharpen their skills and increase
their proficiency in machining operations.
To his right is our Haas Mill Control Simulator. These simulators
allow us to give in-depth and hands on training without tying up
valuable machine time.
Here, students are learning the skills
of precision measuring using micrometers and indicators, scales
and calipers. We also teach blue print reading, geometric
dimensioning and tolerencing, basic and advanced mathmatics,
and other machine related skills. All employees receive this course
of training regardless of their job description here at Tarlton Supply.
Our goal is to have the best educated and most flexible workforce
in Texas.
